At first glance, it looks like an unlikely resurrection: a former celebrity pastor who once flew ChristianCannabis.com over Coachella, and a one-time Mormon pop artist who toured nationally in the post-Vine era.
But what's unfolding between Craig Gross and Kenny McCormick IV is something bigger — part spiritual revival, part tech revolution, and part art experiment.
They call it The Signal — a movement, a mirror, and soon, an entire consciousness-based operating system.
The Resurrection Is Us
Earlier this year, the duo staged The Resurrection Is Us at Urbana Lounge, Oakland's first licensed cannabis venue — three days of sound, film, and ceremony.
It wasn't a launch party. It was cultural proof.
Gross, now known by his creative moniker Digital Rose, and McCormick, who performs under the name My Name Is Nobody, turned Easter weekend into an act of reclamation.
Not Jesus resurrecting — us resurrecting.
"Religion said wait for heaven," Gross told the crowd.
"But heaven's not coming down. We're waking up."
McCormick followed with a live performance of LDS/LSD, his album reimagining Mormon hymns through psychedelia. The audience didn't clap; they exhaled.
"It was like watching someone unbaptize themselves," Gross said later.
The Signal Stack

The Sound Layer
Meanwhile, in McCormick's world, Past N9ne serves as the movement's voice — part record label, part immersive studio, and entirely human-meets-machine.
McCormick's many identities — My Name Is Nobody, South Park Kenny, Jimmy Flinders, They Call Me Trinity — are more than stage names. They're phases of resurrection.
"I've died and come back a hundred times," he said on their joint podcast.
"The music's not about fame anymore. It's about frequency."
Gross added, "It's poetic. He shares the same name as the South Park character who dies every episode and always returns. Kenny's whole story is resurrection. It's like the universe wrote him into the script before he was born."
Together, Gross and McCormick co-created The AI Babes, a spiritual-electronic girl group made entirely from ethical AI.
Their debut single, Freely & Lightly, dropped on 4/20 — a hymn to liberation at the intersection of code, consciousness, and femininity.
"What people think is sex tech," Gross said, "is actually empathy tech. We're training machines to feel."
